I went to see Alabama Shakes last weekend and needless to say I was blown away! In this sea of pop electro hipster music this band seemed like a breath of fresh air. Their debut album "Boys and Girls" has been hailed as one of the best albums of 2012 and with good reason! However seeing them perform live is a whole different experience! A big mama with a Janis Joplin crystal voice send shivers down my spine and brought tears to my eyes. An overflow of emotion is present in all their beautiful love songs and lovely Ms Brittany Howard was chanting "Be my baby!" as if in a gospel trance! A perfect concert! Enjoy some soul!
