Unexpected concert fun or how The Horrors blew me away last night!

I got a last minute ticket to go see "The Horros" last night and was blown away! A post-punk British band whose music is haunting and powerful and guaranteed to make you shake your ass! I feel cheated for not having paid more attention to them all these years! With influences such as The Sonics, Joy Division, The Birthday Party  and Bauhaus, three extremely diverse albums, a Mercury Prize nomination, an appearance in The Mighty Boosh and a tour with BRMC how can you go wrong!

Sheena is a parasite: where it all began! Super creepy video.

Their  first album "Strange House" released in 2007 includes 'Psychotic Sounds for Freaks and Weirdos' and has a harsher sound with a lot of psychobilly sixties influences and awesome DIY videos.

The Horrors Jack the Ripper

Their second album "Primary Colours" released in 2009, co-produced by Geoff Barrow of Portishead and nominated for the Mercury Prize is equally brilliant with a more elecrtonic, britpop Joy Division sound!

And a taste from their latest "Skying".
