I am going to see CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy - literally meaning I've grown tired of being sexy!! and inspired from a quotation by Beyonce) tonight at Botanique. I am ready for some ridiculously kitsch and beautifully colorful costumes on heavily tattooed skinny arms, a loud fun explosive pop and dance extravaganza to shake my ass to and an irresistible desire to acknowledge that sometimes girls just really want to have fun!!! I have countless memories of fun and frolic and of dancing the night away with their songs as a soundtrack. Electropop at it's bestest and it's exciting to know that though their music comes to us from exotic Brazil it captures the atmosphere and magic of our nights so well. I fell in love with CSS during their explosive musical debut in 2007 with songs such as "Alala" (what a fun video!) and "Fuckoff is not the only thing you have to show" and I am really excited to see them live. How can you not love a band that has charismatic lead singer known as Lovefoxxx, that has written a song about what a bitch Paris Hilton is and whose actual formation was a big joke, just a group of friends from Sao Paulo, none of whom could play a musical instrument, wanting to have some fun! So put on your dancing shoes, embrace the little sexy beast in all of us and lets make love and listen to Death from Above
