Cause I love the feeling when we lift off...

Dearest readers whoever you may are, sorry for the radio silence I am back and with a vengeance. So the first thing I want to share with you and hope you will enjoy as much as I did is a movie that blew me away. "A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night" was the closing movie of one of Brussel's coolest fring film festivals (Off Screen Film Festival that takes place at Cinema Nova every year). Apart from being aesthetically perfect and having an impeccable soundtrack, ranging from indie electro pop to iranian new wave, this spaghetti vampire movie is the definition of COOL. The influence of the likes of Lynch and Jarmusch are more then obvious, yet this movie is in a genre of its own, the first Iranian vampire western ever made. World take note, something tells me Ms Amirpour is here to stay. Try and catch this indie gem at a cinema or whatever screen you can find near you!

PS: The movie is filmed entirely in LA that is made to look like an Iranian ghost town called Bad City.

PS2: Amirpour has described her next project, "The Bad Batch", starring Jim Carrey, Keanu Reeves and Jason Momoa, as "a post-apocalyptic cannibal love story set in a Texas wasteland" where a "muscled cannibal breaks the rule ‘don’t play with your food" - "It’s Road Warrior meets Pretty in Pink with a dope soundtrack."
